Cadets lend helping paw at dog show

Youngsters from the 126 (City of Derby) Air Training Corps Squadron were on hand to help organisers of this year's Derbyshire Dog Agility Club show.

The three-day premier and open event was held by the club at Catton Hall, in Walton-on-Trent, and it included qualifiers for Crufts, Olympia, Discover Dogs and other major agility events.

The cadets from the squadron, of Curzon Lane, offered to help the events run as smoothly as possible – by co-ordinating car parking, helping owners with their dog and setting up the courses for the animals.

A spokesman for the squadron said: "This was a fun weekend for all."
