Derbyshire Dog Agility Club

Derbyshire Dog Agility Club (DDAC) are a Kennel Club registered Agility club founded in 1997.

Derbyshire Dog Agility Club is not a commercial business, we are a Kennel Club registered not for profit organisation run by volunteers.

As a Kennel Club registered club we are bound by the strict rules and regulations of, and are managed in line with, the Kennel Club principles of fairness and integrity. Above all, we support the Kennel Club’s commitment to the health and welfare of dogs.

Membership Agreement

Our training is offered to members at competitive rates which are subsidised (to approximately half price) by profits made at our Agility Shows. Our two shows are very important to the club because income from these also pays for the cost of hiring our training venue, paying for the best trainers, purchasing the latest agility equipment and generally meeting the day to day running costs of the club.

Members are therefore expected to make themselves available for the duration of our two shows and on days/evenings beforehand, where possible, to assist in the setting up, running and dismantling of the shows.

Fees  For New Members

Training for new members is initially charged at £8 per hour until you have been with the club for three months when you will be offered full membership and reduced rate training.

Each week of the month is treated as a separate session. A regular booking for the same week each month is usually required.

These sessions are for people who are already competing, or close to competing, with their dogs. People new to the sport should try our Beginners Classes.

Concessions

Concessionary training fees are available to juniors up to the age of eighteen, full time students and senior citizens who are eligible to draw the state pension. These rates are approximately two-thirds of full rate. These reduced rates are not available for our Beginners' Classes.
